Self guided, perhaps wears Birkenstocks? Someone who thinks employee volley ball days and lunch room donuts are without a doubt, time well spent.

We're looking for the real thing: an in the trenches do what's right and do what's next' HR Expert, someone who has strong values, a good sense of ethics and always (without hesitation) has our employees’ best interests at heart come hell or high water.

Sick days exhausted, sly excuses for not showing up. Our production team needs a handful of people hired, our T4's need to be passed out. Whether it is time sheet reviews, pension plans that need to be modified or providing support to our executives, you resolve employee issues, quote company policy like scripture and shadow our managers taking people issues off their giant plates. You are the voice of our people, the hand of reason that cheers our great staff on.

Your are the calm voice that explains why a paycheque is an apparent 10 hours short, the importance of performance reviews, the value in coaching, why raises are quarterly and dogs aren't allowed in the building. We're looking for someone with a soul, someone with a gut feeling of right and wrong. Someone who derives sincere satisfaction in seeing our people looked after and their faces each time they interrupt with ‘just one more question’.

OUR GREAT CANDIDATE WOULD:

  • Setup & conduct line level interviews. Baby-sit the hiring process as if it were your first born.
  • Resolve employee issues. (Typically a little more serious than ‘Susan took my pen’).
  • Prepare and maintain orientation packages and related material.
  • Charismatically & with genuine interest respond to all employee inquiries regarding payroll, pension adjustments, taxes etc.

EARTH CHANGING HR EXPERT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be mature and self motivated, think deadlines are exciting and want the rest of us to agree.
  • Have completed the above mentioned tasks or those similar to in a previous role.
  • Helpful but not necessary, you might have a formal post secondary education in HR or possibly payroll.
  • Have a reasonable understanding of ADP and/or Oracle systems coupled with some previous payroll related experience.
  • Someone who wants to root themselves in a challenging & fun environment today, tomorrow, and many years to come.
